Video Preferences

The Video Preferences tab allows you to configure how the video works.

Here you can change the default driver when the viewer starts. By default, and for now, the only driver is OpenGL.

Sets the texture filtering by default. The options are Bilinear filtering only when in presentation mode (F12), Bilinear Filtering Always and Bilinear Filtering Never. Nevertheless, you can still manually change the setting by going to

Video Thread Count

This setting controls how many threads are used to decompress a video frame. Setting it to 0 (the default) automatically selects an optimum number.

This setting allows you to control how the YUV to RGB conversion is done. By default, mrViewer picks the YUV to RGB conversion from the file, but this can lead to black levels being high in some modes. By forcing a YUV conversion, you make sure that the display of the movie is as you want, regardless of what it says in the file.

This setting allows you to control what happens with the frame number in the timeline when switching images. Keep Frame Number tries to keep the frame number when switching the images (thus keeping them in sync), while Use Image's Frame Number uses each image frame number (thus not keeping them in sync).

Saving

With this option, you can set the default video codec used for saving a movie file from mrViewer.
